About Us

Expanding Your Horizons of San Diego is part of a national program of conferences designed to inspire girls in grades 6-10 to recognize their potential and pursue opportunities in STEM fields.
EYH San Diego began as a program of the San Diego Science Alliance in 2001, and every year since then has provided a successful annual conference on the University of San Diego campus.
In 2016, we decided to expand our programming in order to support the growing needs of our community in engaging young women to pursue STEM careers. Our organization’s programs include the conference for girls in grades 6-10, a Teen STEM café program for girls in grades 10-12 designed to engage students with working STEM professionals throughout the school year, and a network for undergraduate women that are pursuing careers in STEM.
The interconnectivity between the EYH of San Diego programs provides a pathway for guiding the young females of today into STEM careers of the future.
